At Leather Spa, we understand that bag cleaning requires a special touch. Our dedicated bag cleaning department employs a range of tools, dyes and tailor-made cleaning and conditioning agents proven to work well with leather, suede, fabric, exotic skins and eco-friendly leather alternatives. Our methods are specifically designed to preserve the color, construction and style that make your bag unique.
Although Leather Spa is one of the most experienced leather repair companies in the industry, certain stains, color transfers and marks cannot be easily removed by cleaning without risking the original color and finish of your bag. Before that happens, our Leather Spa repair advisors will work with you to identify what blemishes cannot be fixed easily. And they will provide you with alternative solutions should they be available.
For cleaning, we use a variety of methods including steam cleaning, dry cleaning, and water washing with water-based solvents. Odors such as smoke, perfume, pets, dusky smells and more can be neutralized by our deodorizing methods. Exotic skins including lizard, ostrich, and alligator can also be conditioned using our own conditioner to help restore their distinct appearance.
For older bags that may have lost some of their character over the years, we also offer a post-cleaning "Touch Up" service where we apply special pigmentations to restore the color and finish of your bag.
After the cleaning and conditioning process, all items are treated with our nanotechnology water and stain repellent spray to further protect your bags. Our spray forms a protective shield over the leather and keeps it breathable. Water and stain repellent treatments last for two to four weeks depending on how often you use your bag. Our water and stain repellent spray is available for retail and we highly recommend that you continue treating your bags every so often at home.
